What the Funk!?

{November 8, 2006}   RIP Bands Top 3

I have to tell you, people, I love pop music. I really do and it’s just an awful thing when a band, especially one of my favourites, splits up. So, I thought I do an entry to my 3 favourite and already separated bands.

Hear’Say

It’s pure and simple that Hear’Say was the next best thing in pop industry… But don’t ask what was before them :D

S Club 7

Oh yeah, the good old S Club 7. I heard that they’ll come back soon. Please, tell me they’ll bring it all back!

Steps

Now let’s sing: 5, 6, 7, 8… erm, you know what? Just leave it!

Miss you girls and guys!

{November 6, 2006}   Simply girls and ballrooms

Don’t you have any ideas what should you do this weekend? I have a great, extraordinary suggestion for you. Why don’t you go and visit Las Vegas? Oh well, I know it’s really not an easy and cheap thing, but if you’re able to do this, don’t you miss the two hottest shows, ‘Simply Ballroom’ and ‘Cover Girls’ over there.

The celebration of dance comes to life in Simply Ballroom. It’s a new show including the world’s foremost ballroom champions. Exciting, isn’t it?

But if you don’t like classical things, why don’t you just go and watch the sexiest variety show, Cover Girls? I can tell you it’s one of the most unique shows in Las Vegas’ history. And if it’s still not enough for you, then here’s something more: the show is hosted by the gorgeous Noel Sullivan and lovely Zoë Birkett, from the UK television hits “Popstars” and “Pop Idol.”

You can watch both of the shows at The Showroom at Golden Nugget.

Do we need anything else for a great weekend? Yeah, two to Las Vegas!!!

{November 6, 2006}   I Don’t Feel Like…Ooooh!

Ta-Dah! It’s review time people… This time I only choosed two songs, but they are the best ones around in pop world these days. So, let’s see them.

Scissor Sisters – I Don’t Feel Like Dancing
Well, I have to tell you I’ve never been a big fan of the ‘Sisters’, moreover I so hated their first one or two released songs, but I just fell in love with this one for the first time. It’s cool, unique, groovy just like the whole band and it’s got a really interesting and funny clip. Though one of the members said that it’s one of the most happiest song about sadness I’m sure it will make everyone smile, especially, when the lead singer, Jake Shears starts to sing on his falsetto… Hilarious!
Other great songs: Check out their upcoming single, Land of a Thousand Words… Beautiful!

Girls Aloud: Something Kinda Ooooh!
I’m sure half of the huge GA fanbase will love me now and the other half of them will hate me, but I don’t care. Even though it’s something really different that the girls used to do, I love this song and I like the video, too. Okay, maybe first time you think it’s really weird, but I’m sure if you don’t give up and drop the song away you’ll love it. You’ll want to sing it, dance to it and hear it all the time. The only problem with it is the lyric. I have to tell you it’s awful. But still it’s a great party song… Girly!
Other great song: Sacred Trust from the girls’ new CD, Sound of Girls Aloud. It’s a cover from their ex-rival band, One True Voice. Nice one girls!!!

{November 5, 2006}   London’s Run

Now people, run to amazon.co.uk to buy this great new book, ‘The Run: London’s Secret’ by Ella Roberts… But before you do this let’s read it’s synopsis.

Accidentally stumbling upon a horrifying ritual, Kelly makes a bad decision to steal from the scene.  She later begins to regret stealing from the ritual but at this point it is too late do anything about it, for whomever she stole from wants her dead and does not care to take her flat mate Mischia as well.

But in true adventure style, the heroines are not caught straight away; their house is blown up and they are followed around east London, chased away from places to stay.  Eventually they end up close to the scene Kelly first saw the ritual, and things begin to take a turn for the strange.

They are introduced to a world of magic and intrigue, meeting people they never thought existed doing things they never thought possible.  Kelly and Mischia are separated and forced to make life-altering decisions about their futures that involve either staying alive or playing dead.

The two friends begin to lead parallel lives and undergo major physical, emotional, mental and spiritual changes but on opposite sides of the spectrum, while being influenced by different forces and thus begin to go their separate ways.

They are brought back together and find out how much the other has changed; one for the ‘positive’ and the other for the ‘negative’.

Having started off believing there was good, evil and a clear line between them, Kelly and Mischia find out that having uncovered ‘London’s Secret’, things are not exactly as they first seemed.  They go deeper than what is now known, and who they first thought responsible also seems to be a puppet of an even higher source. And ‘London’s Secret’ goes a lot further than just London.
